⭐ 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 & 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 ⭐

Spencer and Jasper are 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 and are now looking for a foster home due to a change in their owner's circumstances.

They are 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗺, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 where they can enjoy quiet downtime, gentle walks and plenty of love.

Spencer is the more 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 of the pair. He enjoys pottering along on walks, following interesting scents and taking the world in at his own pace. Whilst he enjoys affection and will happily come for fuss and cuddles, he also values his own space and likes to relax undisturbed when resting.

Jasper is the more 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 character in the home. He adores cuddles and, given half a chance, will happily convince you he is a lap dog. He loves being 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 and will often curl up next to you to relax.

Having lived together all their lives, the boys coexist well. Jasper can occasionally be a little possessive over toys towards his canine companion, although Spencer respects his boundaries and this has never escalated. Long lasting chews are avoided as Spencer showed some guarding around them when younger.

Both boys travel well in the car, either secured on a seat using a harness or crated in the boot.

They 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸 with a professional dog walker, who describes them as non-confrontational and easy to integrate with other dogs. They are 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁.

On lead, both boys can be less confident and may bark if unfamiliar people or dogs approach them closely. However, when given space they cope well, and one of our volunteers was able to pass people calmly on walks without any issues.

Jasper does have bilateral elbow dysplasia, which is currently managed conservatively following specialist scans. The recommendation has been management rather than surgery, and he enjoys a happy life with sensible exercise.

Any future adopter would need to be aware that his elbows would be considered a pre-existing condition. We have identified insurers who may be willing to provide cover, as he has not required a claim relating to his elbows for over two years, and we would be happy to discuss this further with interested applicants.

Both boys have recently undergone full health checks and are in 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵. They are fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatments.

𝗪𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 and, whilst they can live with sensible older children, an adult-only home would be their gold-standard match.
