Daisy
We are saddened that we havenโt yet found the right foster homes for Poppy and Daisy. Although they are crossbreeds, they are very much in need of our help, and both girls deserve the same love, care and second chance as any spaniel who comes through our doors. Their situation is becoming increasingly urgent, and we are hoping to secure foster placements by 2nd August if at all possible. Weโve added new photos that give a clearer picture of each dog, and we kindly ask you to read both profiles and consider whether you could offer a safe, calm and loving foster home to either of these girls.

Some of our followers may have seen Daisy (and Poppy) being advertised elsewhere on social media earlier this week. As with most breed rescues, when we see dogs being offered free to a good home, we encourage owners to reach out to a reputable rescue. This ensures dogs are properly assessed, placed safely, and matched with vetted fosterers and adopters who can meet their needs. All breed charities feel the same โ we are always relieved when dogs like Daisy are offered a rescue space.
Our volunteer has assessed Daisy and found her to be a very young, quite timid dog. She showed no nervous aggression, but she kept her distance and watched rather than interacting.
She presents with a lot of potential collie traits in her appearance.
Daisy is young, and while itโs common for younger working breeds to be slow to gain weight, she does ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฐ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ด๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป. Small meals, little and often, will help her build condition.
She will need an active home where she can be mentally and physically stimulated.

With the right patience and structure, she is the sort of dog who could thrive at flyball or agility.
Daisy currently sleeps with Poppy, so she may benefit from a kind, calm dog in the home โ or a patient fosterer who can help her adjust to being alone. Allowing her to settle in the bedroom overnight at first may help her transition.
Her exposure outside the home has been limited, so she will need a fosterer who is happy to start from scratch, go at her pace, and enjoys positive training. If youโd like to explore confidence building or gentle decompression routines, we can support you.
Fostering can often lead to adoption if the placement is a good fit for both dog and fosterer.
