Bud is a sweet, sensitive, intelligent boy looking for his forever home. Bud was relinquished by a couple who had invested a great deal of training into him, but felt he needed a different environment to thrive.
They struggled with what they believed was separation anxiety, but in foster Bud has been left for up to two hours and it appears he has more likely ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ป๐

Bud can bond very deeply with one person and become protective with them towards other humans or animals in the home. Bud is a fairly easyโgoing cocker spaniel. He enjoys training and will take as much as you offer, but he does not require hours of exercise to settle. He is wellโmannered around livestock, walks nicely on a lead, and has good recall.

Bud is best suited to an adultโonly home, or possibly a home with children aged 16+.
Bud has not lived with children and will need a home with children over 16. He prefers a ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐บ, ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐น๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐๐๐น๐ฒ. He does not seek out children outside the home and is not comfortable with direct approaches from unknown people. His new owner should advocate for him.

Bud has always lived as a solo dog. Due to his tendency to bond deeply with one person, this should continue. Outside, he is neutral and largely ignores other dogs unless overwhelmed. He has a few familiar dogs he enjoys zoomies with, showing his playful side.

Bud needs a quiet home with a predictable routine. In foster he has slept on the bed, sofa or chair. He is crateโtrained, and the crate is used when visitors arrive.
