Sheldon is a handsome, bright, active Springer Spaniel now looking for his forever home. Sheldon was relinquished into our care after having a couple of homes previously who didnโt have sufficient time for him due to family commitments. Sheldon enjoys daily walks of over an hour. Before coming into our care he lived a very urban life and is not used to seeing wildlife, cattle or horses. He can live in the countryside, but adopters must desensitise him slowly and carefully.

Sheldon has no known history living with children, so he can live with children over 14. He has interacted nicely with younger children in foster, making him suitable for a home with visiting children.

Sheldon has always lived as a solo dog and would be happy to continue. Sheldon enjoys being in the garden and around the home. He finds it difficult to be away from his fosterer and prefers to sleep close by. ๐๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐น๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐น๐ฒ๐ณ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ. We understand he was left frequently in his original home, so he may need time to adjust after multiple moves.

Sheldon is not used to being left and has only been left alone a handful of times. He finds it stressful and barks. ๐๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐ป๐ท๐ผ๐๐ ๐ต๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ ๐๐๐ถ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ต๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ most of the time who can include him in daily life.

Sheldon is an excellent traveller and happily jumps in the car to enjoy the ride.

Sheldon has been groomed in foster and behaved well. He was also ๐๐ฒ๐น๐นโ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ at the vet. He is friendly and has travelled between his fostererโs two properties without issue.
He is ๐ณ๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑโ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ and loves learning new tricks and training.

Sheldon has a good grasp of basic commands. He needs work on recall around sheep and horses, as he is not used to seeing them โ a long line should be used around livestock for now.
He behaved well at the beach and enjoys training. He has the capacity to learn much more.

Sheldon needs an active home where he can be ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ต๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ ๐๐๐ถ๐บ๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ. He needs people home most of the time who will show ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ around being left alone and addressing the separation anxiety shown in foster.
He would love plenty of adventures and opportunities to learn new skills and dog sports.

Sheldon is recently vetโchecked, flea & worm treated, fully vaccinated and in good health.

Sheldon has no ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ถ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป. His previous owner reported occasional jealousy when he sat next to his wife on the sofa, but if asked to move, Sheldon always did so. This has not been seen during his foster assessment.
